Duty of All

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who had nine sons and had approached to certain age that he was unable to perform his duty anymore, so he gathered his son’s and instead of saying anything, he took a stick and try to bend it, and in no time it broke into two parts, then he combine four different sticks and try to bend them together even with lot more force, but none of them broke instead the old man got hurt due to exerting the force, he said to sons that, unity is the strength – united you will stand and divided you all will fall no matter how strong you think you are; so always be united. We are experiencing the same in many matters of the modern day, we are in every matter so divided that our efforts couldn’t turn out to be a something that makes the difference, however if we unite then our collective efforts could really be effective.

We are unfortunate that we are observing such prevailing corruption that has hampered the structure of Muslim Society that was laid down by the Prophet Muhammad – to help the needy peoples. Government were established to take care of our matters, that’s why we provide money in order that government help us in every sphere of life. But our taxes (financial provision) are being used for such matters that has nothing to do with public and lots are being stolen. However, there are many peoples among us who still pays the money to the poor or beggars.

Furthermore the word help never confines to the financial support, a help could be in any form, for instance when I was in hospital because of my mother, I was sitting in the corridor, and a family with two ladies and one male having severe pain in his kidney rushed into the hospital, but the family seems very backward i.e. came from some poor locality, they were unable to explain the problem to the hospital staff, so staff told them to wait for the consultant while the case was of severe emergency – patient was having sort of strokes completely shaking his body and his eyes were getting red. The ladies in the family were pushing each other to tell the staff about his (patient situation) but on the same time they were very shy and embarrassed to inform the staff about the condition; that whole situation went live for about 10 minute, and then a women came and she straight went to the staff in anger and told the staff to take that man in emergency. He hold great speaking ability that single handedly took down unfriendly staff and make the staff to take him into the emergency. Hence that women had nothing to do with that family, but she understand the need and acted with one thing in her mind that was to help ease the suffering of other. She used her speaking ability to help order.

Another form of help I experienced in an office, in which there was a person who had a great desire to work as programmer but he had a non-computer background so was not aware of computer logics and basic concepts, and the upper management never gave him the chance to show his ability. And there was another factor that his personality was not charming enough to appease the management to consider him as IT guy. People use to mock him for his inability to understand the computer, so at that moment one of our colleague stood by him and help him out to understand it, however he could not help him to fully understand but at least he tried, and two years later that person called him and was very thankful to him about his help and he told us that he really felt proud of himself that at least he helped someone. So there are countless examples in which we could help others but primarily I would say financial is the one which is in much need.

While talking about financial support there lies three problems, one that we don’t have enough money to completely surface a person from the calamity he is suffering from, while second is that lots of beggars are the direct or indirect employee of Mafia’s – it is needless to mention their criminal activities they are involved into. Lastly when we help needy peoples, it become their habits to keep seeking help instead of standing up on his feet. Hence in order to solve this problem I am planning to establish a non-profitable organization in which members could deposit their spear money (only intended to give away) no limit, and any of the member could nominate any needy person.

My plan is to setup a NGO, whose sole purpose is to help peoples in their matters in which they are unable to tackle with. Purpose, Agenda and Working of our NGO is stated below.

Our support could be in any form such as financial and professional support such as one member of our NGO is software developer then we could provide free software, if someone is lawyer in our member then he could provide advice etc.

Every member is not bound to provide his help; his support is purely subjected to his convenience but we seeks his commitment in order to make this organization working properly with full eager.

The purpose of our support is not make anyone feel miserable i.e. feel himself a beggar, but he will be considered as the person going through calamity that could be on anyone, hence we here are only providing temporary support on his uncertain times, and in return we request them to join our hands when his/her bad times ends to lean on others who are going through.

The Identity of the person availing benefits will never be disclosed to any non-relevant person.

NGO will be having a bank account, in which every member will be having complete view of its financial status at any moment.

Initially NGO could only provide financial support in which any member could nominate any person he believe needs help, upon agreement of 50% members the funds will be released. The released fund would not be considered as total giving, but we expect that fund will be refund by that person at any point of time (no time limit).

Funds could be used for any good purpose such as helping the peoples to pay for loans, hospitalization, medicines, marriage, rent, food, setting up business, setting up public facilities, education, cover expenses of peoples such as widow, aged, orphans etc.
